Delivery Policy at George Lines

We are happy to offer FREE delivery on orders with a minimum sales value of £250 (excluding VAT) and based within a 20 mile radius of George Lines branches. Our standard shipping cost for orders under £250 excluding VAT is £30 plus VAT.

Delivery time and date requests:

We aim to deliver between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm and will try our best to deliver on your requested day. However, we are unable to quote actual times and can only deliver am or pm as requested. Whilst we endeavour to deliver within these hours on the specified day, we can’t be held liable if circumstances beyond our control prevent us from making delivery on that day. We will, however, try our utmost to give you ample notice of any changes or delays affecting the delivery of your order.

To order products:

If products are “to order” only, full packs will be supplied and they may be subject to an extended delivery time. Please note that these products will not be returnable under any circumstances.

Direct deliveries:

For larger stock quantity orders, we are happy to arrange direct deliveries straight from our suppliers to your delivery address.

Delivery requirements:

To follow Health & Safety guidelines, we can only offer kerbside delivery. For any heavy goods, please have assistance on site to aid with offloading.

Any special requests made for delivery will be at the customer’s risk. Hiab offload or tail lift is our usual method of offloading. Unfortunately, we are unable to undertake any manual offloading, but we may be able to assist. Multiple drops for the same delivery will not be accepted. All orders must be signed for upon delivery.

Changes to your delivery:

If you need to alter any delivery arrangements, please contact our sales team on: 01753 685354. Please provide two working days’ notice to avoid incurring any charges. Our business opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am until 5:00 pm.

Our fleet:

We have eight vehicles, as well as a 1.5t tipper van. For certain deliveries, we can also hire further transport as and when required, at an additional cost.
